About the Musician Clinician
Hi! I’m Melissa Danielle, a rock musician originally from London with a passion for helping children and young people to succeed in life.

I am proudly neurodivergent; I was diagnosed with ADHD with traits of Autism Spectrum Condition in 2021 as an adult.
Music is a huge part of my identity and I love helping others express themselves creatively.

As a child, I sometimes found school difficult socially and academically and music was my escape. I always loved being creative by learning the guitar and singing. Music helped me to focus and motivated me at school to succeed, so I want to help others who would benefit from a musical approach.

By my teenage years, I knew music was my path in life; I wanted to be a music teacher and performer.

After school and uni, my journey continued, teaching in a SEND school while performing in a girl band in London.
Alongside my career as a teacher and performing rock musician, I trained as a Speech and Language Therapist where I learned about neurodiversity and the benefits of combining music and speech therapy to support language development for children with Autism.
I decided to combine my two passions to form The Musician Clinician.

I am currently based in Bristol while training as a music therapist to help neurodivergent individuals develop their relationships and express themselves creatively.
I am a trained dyslexia specialist teacher and assessor and look forward to supporting others in their journey.

Melissa was great - she did a really good job. Harry has been put up a book for Verbal Reasoning at the start of this term and Sam’s hand writing has suddenly improved. We are very pleased!
